Sevilla

Second group: ending of the 14th century.

The churches built by demand of the King Pedro I (Peter I) belong to this second group. They were built during the second half of the 14th century because the earthquake of the year 1356 made necessary to renovate the existing ones.

The most of the Gothic - Mudejar churches were built in the 14th century. There are a few exceptions like san Juan de la Palma, built in the beginning of the 15th century. It has many constructions subsequently addited. Another one is the Chapel of Santa Maria de Jesus, that was part of the older university building. This chapel was consecrated in the year 1505. On the left, San Juan de la Palma chuch and, on the right, the Santa Maria de Jesus chapel.
